Since signing on with Husla Coaching in March this year I have seen a massive amount of growth in all aspects of my life.  I felt reluctant to search for a new coach after spending long amounts of time with previous coaches focusing on calorie deficits and excessive training programs.  Husla has changed my outlook on food and nutrition. Setting my Marcos for me allowing me the freedom to eat what I crave and never miss out on any social events due to strict calorie deficits like I had in the past. I was worried to push myself into a calorie surplus and go into a growth period but Husla has been nothing but encouraging and supportive throughout every step.  The service husla provides is the best I have had yet, everyone on the team is insanely dedicated to all clients and have insane amount of knowledge.  It was a massive step to put my trust in someone else’s hands after having bad experiences before, but Cam has been nothing but reassuring. I have seen the most progress in the last 5 months then I have in the last 3 + years of training, not only linear changes but have increased my lifts to reach new PR’s. I started with a 60kg deadlift and have now pulled 105kg. I had never squatted before and now have done sets at 60kg. Never done bench and have reached 35kg.  Cam and the whole husla team are absolutely amazing at what they do and I couldn’t recommend a better bunch of people.

“I had always had coaches guiding me prior to HUSLA, however after having some negative experiences, I was reluctant to sign on with another coach. I decided to do my own training and nutrition for nearly 2 years and during this time I hardly saw results. Getting Jason as my coach from the beginning of 2019 has been one of the most valuable things I ever done for not only my results and my progress, but the impact it had on my own coaching and career. Jason kept me accountable to my goals which was to grow muscle along with getting really strong and improving the big 3. Jason has helped me immensely in finding and achieving my capabilities and strength, which has fostered in other areas of my life and my own coaching business. Before I started with HUSLA I felt like I knew no one else who loved gym as much as I did, however since being a part of HUSLA, I have been able to network and connect with other like minded individuals. Since working with Jason at HUSLA, I have gained back the confidence I had lost and achieved my weight loss goal for my powerlifting competition with ease. Being able to diet flexibly made the process sustainable, and with Jason's guidance, allowed me to drop 6.5kgs in 4 months in a healthy and controlled way.  Weekly check ins and the HUSLA groups advice on alternative (yum) foods was a great way to get amongst people with similar goals and learn more about nutrition. They understand that life shouldn't be put on hold in order to achieve your goals. “I'd been doing my own dieting for my training both for bulking and leaning out prior to HUSLA. However I never realised how much I needed a coach until Jason helped me out and showed me how inefficient I'd been. Putting on too much fat when bulking and dieting too hard that I would lose muscle mass when leaning out.  Working with HUSLA has taught me how I can keep on track and hold me accountable with my dieting, while even putting on muscle and gaining strength. I first signed up to HUSLA under Jason because of my shoulder injury, it was preventing me from being able to train in the gym and also my daily life.  I was diagnosed with bursitis in my shoulder and tendonitis of the bicep by a physiotherapist, however after a few months of failed physio attempts it was still improving.  After training with Jason In the space of a few months he taught me many different types of rehabilitation exercises for my shoulder and also the biomechanics of why my shoulder was not moving properly. My experience with HUSLA over this past year has been nothing but joyful. Jason has helped me get out of the dead end training that I was doing for years and changed my entire mindset towards powerlifting. Through tracking my nutrition and proper programming provided by Jason, I’ve been able to lose weight and gain strength without sacrificing my love for food. Cannot wait to see what the future holds for HUSLA and the entire crew.
